Here is the Dixon high D whistle: [The Contradiction] I have a non-tunable Dixon D. It is a nice whistle, has a pure tone with just a hint of a breathy edge.My main complaint on this whistle is me: I was stupid. I should have a bought a tunable whistle, as the nontunable version is tuned way sharp compared to A=440, so sharp I can't really play it in session. Also the whistle clogs pretty easily. However, it does have a lovely sound with moderate volume and pretty good balance between the octaves. Like a Susato, the high notes can be a problem unless you hit them cleanly with a good punch of air. New content is coming.
